Summer 2011

Wow, been awhile, huh? Life has just been busy and wierd and crazy the last year or so and I just haven't felt like blogging. But we won a new camera right before we went to Oklahoma so I have tons of pic's to post and share. Exploring Papa's creek.
We celebrated Beth's bday while we were at mom and dads. G.G. and Aunt Tootsie came down for the day. Beth designed the cake herself.
Cutting the super yummy cake.
It's amazing how much fun kids can have in a little bit of water!
At VBS they made pinch pots.

Papa taught Jon Michael how to use the drill and he made his own "yahoo" game board.

Zeke loves VBS for the snacktime!!! Smores was a hit this night with him!
They tie dyed shirts.
Zeke did a bandana.

Beth during rest time with Papa.
Exploring the creek with Papa.
Uncle Jonathan using his "indian skills" to show the kids how to catch, "mudbugs" "crawfish" "crawdad's" or whatever you wanna call them! The kids LOVED this!!!

Petting goats from VBS.
Next we went to Papa John and Renae's house. Its all about the food at Papa Johns house! The kids become carnivore maniacs!!!
Emmy loving the smell of the baby chicks! Ha!
There were Amish men bailing the hay on the land...I really wanted a pic of them but I know they don't like their pic's taken so I settled for a quick one as he drove by. They hire themselves out during hay season.
Zeke chasing Papa Johns birds for feathers.

Beth collected shells from the Blue River that runs at the back of the property.
The kids LOVED exploring and "swimming" in the river.
Jalyn found a stick he turned into a bazooka....yes we brought it back to Texas...its in my front flower bed right now!!!
Emmy driving us back from the river...she did a really good job. She told Renae, "my mom would be mad if she knew I was driving!" It was so funny.
Jon Michael caught fish out of the pond and then Jonathan showed him how to fillet them.
Then Renae fried them for him and the kids chowed down.
Petting birdies!
Zeke pretending to be a "birdie"!
Jon Michael learned how to catch a chicken. It was so fun to watch!
Uncle Jonathan caught a turkey for Zeke to "pet".
Loving holding his own chicken.
He really enjoyed helping Renae clean the bird poop off the front porch!
We have a wonderful family from church staying with us while they are waiting to get into the house they are buying. Kenley loves Jon Michael and he is so super good with her!
I just loved this pic of Emmy! So funny!
We took the kids to the park. Zekie giving Beth a ride with his motorcycle and side car.
Man, those kids can wear us out!!! Ha!!!
Jon Michael is so great with little kids! He's always laying with them and holding them. So cute.
What was supposed to be naptime....
Turned into wrestle time!!!!
Love the "big kid" in the middle!
That's it for now. I'll try to stay more on top of blogging, I didn't think I had really missed it but i have.
