"Hectic House"

Well, we've started getting repairs done on the house. The boys are back in their room, we're in the guest room and all of our bedroom furniture is in our bathroom. Jonathan's closet is ok, if we can get into it but my closet is going to be redone so we're basically living out of the living room and kitchen right now. The boys go stir crazy when they are both home b/c they have to stay in the living room and kitchen b/c there is so much sheetrock junk and insulation and dirt floating thru the rest of the house.

Just a small glimpse of life for us right now....our closet is the loveseat, all the front room toys are in the living room and in this picture poor Samson is Jalyns form of entertainment for the moment!

This is the day they took all the sheetrock off the ceiling. They bagged up the insulation but there's still tons of it floating down from the rafters throughout the day and any work they do on the roof sends splinters of wood and shingle grit down to the floor....I've given up on cleaning it all up until we're done with the process.

Woah! Ya know, Gustave came through and took out looks of stuff on our street. We flooded, a little. OMGoodness! I look at that mess and I am so grateful for what little we had to do!

So good to hear from you! We do have quite a big of damage but we are so blessed compared to so many others. We had rain this morning and it caused some more water damage so I've already got the call in for another insurance adjuster to come out....its a long and tiring process but it'll all work out. Do ya'll plan on going to Tushkahoma again?

Ya know, I just realized that I hadn't checked out your comments after I left one! Sorry bout that!
One of our neighbors, who lost part of her roof is having the same problem with rain. The tarp won't keep it all out, so each time it is something new! I hope that we will make Tushkahoma a annual trip now. The kids (and I) loved it! I might try and find a pop up for next year though cause tenting it is rough!

No problem, it takes time to stay on top of everyone's blogs and messages. My husband asked if you have family in Oklahoma or that also go to Tuskahoma? Do you have an e-mail address?
Its defenitly tough when it seems like the problems keep piling up but our roof is finished now so its only the inside that's still being worked on.
Thanks so much for staying in touch.
